Shrimp Island

Shrimp Island will be my new go-to place for lunch, whenever I need something quick, fresh, and delicious. The location itself is a small, nicely kept, only carry-out restaurant. Hand sanitizer inside, and small bench to sit if you want to wait for food. I’d recommend to call in advance and then pick up. Though waiting time for me has been around 5 min so they’re really quick. I’ve tried the regular shrimp, fish chips, scallops, potato salad, and fries. They all tasted delicious, freshly done. Portions are also pretty good for the price. Though I’m obsessed with the fish chips with the mild sauce. Considering they’re a new location, I’m impressed. Maybe tartar sauce for future menu? Service is great - all staff are very friendly and understanding. Owners Justin and Gregg were very attentive. Their social media is also up to date, so that is also ideal.

First thing I noticed walking in was the cleanliness! Which is the first thing I look for walking in any establishment. I was greeted with a smile (a plus) Greg and Justin are awesome . I called ahead, and my order was coming hot and fresh out the kitchen (another plus). Some places wait til you get there before starting your order which defeats the purpose of calling ahead. Now what your probably wondering is how is the food. It was delicious! I had the jumbo shrimp and smelts breaded to perfection. I will definitely be back to try more items alongside my shrimp, did I mention the price is right also! If you haven’t been get there and support this small business you won’t be disappointed.

Yesterday was my first time visiting and the food was hot, fresh and delicious! I had the regular shrimp(which were pretty big), okra, mushrooms, fish chips and coleslaw. Everything was good and the okra and mushrooms were surprisingly fresh tasting. The prices were a pleasant surprise as well, very affordable. I wish there was an eating area but I made due with my car. I will definitely be back. Also, the young man taking the orders very professional and had the patience of Job because I asked a million questions and he didn’t get annoyed 🥰

I'm the customer that came after Sheila. I would like to say they have remodeled and made this establishment look nice. Same recipe.great tasting shrimp and hot sauce. In fact I knew the shrimp was gonna be good because when I left I saw Sheila in her car eating up the whole bag of shrimp. But I waited until I got home and savored every bite. Thanks shrimp island for being great. 5 stars across the board.
